With all the uncertainty, worry and general doom and gloom in the media at the moment, especially around how the coronavirus is affecting small businesses, I wanted to share the steps I have taken in reaction to COVID-19 and a few positive thoughts.
I am offering Skype and Facetime consultations and meetings if anyone is reducing face to face contact with people. I can also offer live chat via Facebook Messenger. This is to help brides and grooms in any efforts to self isolate.
As many weddings are held in hospitality venues such as country houses and hotels, which are being hit hard by COVID-19, some couples are postponing their weddings. I am being as flexible as possible with regards to wedding stationery timelines and re-working dates. I understand this is a de-stressing time for anyone planning a wedding, and would like to offer as much support to couples as possible!
If you have already ordered stationery and changed the date of your wedding, I can send you an amended digital file with the new wedding details, that you can email or send via Whatsapp or Facebook messenger to update your guests.
Obviously hand sanitizer, anti-bacterial spray and wipes are in my work space, which is thoroughly cleaned regularly.
Most of my wedding stationery collections and personalised hen party T shirts are already available online. For any bespoke orders, I can take payment via BACs or Paypal and ship the items to my clients.
Behind the scenes…
I anticipate this crisis is going to disrupt the wedding industry, and am therefore using my time as productively as possible including developing new collections, taking some time out to perfect my technique at hand illustration and watercolour painting - watch this space for gorgeous new collections coming up! I’m pretty fond of the great outdoors, so I’m choosing to see a silver lining in the advice to avoid indoor, busy places by walking (with my partner and adorable pooch) and cycling and generally enjoy the stunning countryside that surrounds Teesside.
