How to order custom wedding invitations

I started Splendid Swan because I love painting and being able to share that creativity to make unique wedding invitations, that capture the personality of engaged couples, the charm of their chosen wedding venue and help to tell their love story. Bespoke ordering process

  • Step 1: Get Inspired

    To be able to quote for a custom wedding invitation package, I need to know what you love! So please explore my wedding stationery collections, Instagram and of course Pinterest to spark your imagination.

  • Step 2: Get a Quote

    Once you have an idea of what you want, use the online form below to get a quote, which helps me collect all the information I need to give an accurate quote – while the form may seem a little long, it minimises the back and forth of emails, and saves you time in the long run.
    Don’t forget to add quantities, if you are unsure don’t worry as I can usually work it out from your guest numbers.
    There is also a button to upload any inspirational images, colour swatches and mood boards you may have.

  • Step 3: Book a Video Call

    Once you’ve received the quote, if you’d like to order custom wedding invitations, we can arrange a call to discuss the finer details, your vision and any specific styling elements and how I can make this custom wedding stationery package completely unique to you. A call is not essential, but you may find it easier to chat things through via phone or video call.

How long do custom wedding invitations take?

My turnaround times vary depending on the size and detail of the project, my advice is to get in touch as soon as possible and not leave it until the last minute! Below is a guide, please contact me for my current stationery turnaround times:

  • Step 4: Paying for Your Custom Wedding Invitations

    Payment will need to be made before design work commences. This can be payment in full, a 50% deposit or an instalment of a pre-agreed payment plan. I offer a variety of payment options for your convenience including BACs, credit / debit card and PayPal.
    Full payment will need to made before the items are dispatched.

  • Step 5: Custom Invitation Design Process

    After receiving payment, I will start working on your wedding stationery. As you will see from exploring my collections, most of my wedding invitations are hand painted. This is why clients chose me and what they love most about my wedding stationery design, but it does also mean it takes a little time so please be patient. I complete each project as soon as I can, whilst also ensuring I spend enough time on each element to make it unique and ooze with creative flair.

  • Step 6: Review and Revise

    When the design work is complete, I send digital proofs for you to approve via an online client portal. Here you can approve the artwork or request amendments. My packages include 3 rounds of amendments. There is a small charge for further artwork amendments.

  • Step 7: Production and Delivery

    Once approved, I send the artwork to print!
    All my wedding stationery sets come assembled as standard – my clients live super busy lives, and my aim is to make the stationery part of wedding planning as easy and seamless as possible for them.
    Once assembled, your wedding stationery will be packaged and delivered to your door.
    Please note: Some items such as large signage are sent directly from the printers.

  • Step 8: Send with Love

    With your custom wedding invitations in hand, it's time to share the excitement with your guests! Whether you choose to mail them out or hand deliver, your invitations will set the tone for a celebration filled with love, joy, and unforgettable memories.

  • Step 9: Start Planning Wedding Day Stationery

    Dazzle your guests with exquisite stationery for the day of your wedding – luxury place cards, personalised menus, table plans, custom wedding signage and more.
