Splendid Swan Terms and Conditions
All orders accepted are subject to these terms and conditions of sale.
The term ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to the company Splendid Swan who is the owner of this website. The business address is 43 Ayresome Park Road, Linthorpe, Middlesbrough, TS5 6BF. The term ‘you’ refers to the user or viewer of the website and / or products and services.
All quotes are valid for 28 days from the date of issue.
Minimum order quantities are specified in each product listing on this website. Most prices displayed are for a minimum of 50 items, for smaller quantities a price increase will apply. The order quantity refers to the quantity ordered at one time, if you require additional stationery after receiving your order, the price per unit may be significantly higher if it doesn’t meet the minimum order requirements. If your wedding guest numbers are likely to increase, it’s recommended that you order spare stationery.
There is no minimum order for hen party T shirts, gifts and jewellery.
If ordering a package of wedding stationery, it will usually arrive part assembled. This usually means that the invitations, RSVP and guest information sheet will be grouped together, with any trims and embellishments attached, but you will need to put each pack into the envelope and address it. All envelopes come blank as standard, labels can be provided for an additional charge.
Jewellery will arrive assembled.
We aim to ensure that all the information available on our site at any time is accurate and complete. All descriptions and photographs contained on the website are intended to give a general idea of the products, the colours and appearance of images displayed on our site may vary slightly to the products.
All of the items are handmade or hand finished and as such there may be variances in colours and materials from images displayed or samples produced. Colours on screen will always look different to printed versions. Your home printer may also print differently to the professional print methods we use. If you have provided a colour swatch, every effort will be made to match it as closely as possible. Please note that during the printing process there can be variations between print runs so there may be slight differences between proofs, samples and hard copies.
Please note, different paper can also create slight variances in colour. For example the matt finish card used for invitations and the paper used for guest information sheets may have slight variances.
For clay jewellery, if colours have been mixed, there may be slight colour differences between batches. To minimise this, please order all the jewellery at the same time.
All logos, website design and artwork remain the property of Splendid Swan and may not be used without the permission of Splendid Swan. Neither you, nor a third party, may copy any part of the design or reproduce it in any way. We reserve the right to use any customer designs on our website, partner sites, social media channels or any marketing literature as we see fit.
It is your responsibility to obtain permission for any copyrighted material used in your wedding stationery, such as song lyrics or poems. You must ensure that any images you wish us to use for any designs must not infringe on any copyright.
We retain the right over the artwork of all of our samples and these must not be copied or replicated in any way. Samples are often created for display purposes and will not be personalised. There may be slight colour variances between samples and final products.
Proofs and Approval
For both wedding stationery and personalised clothing, digital proofs are sent via email using the wording you have supplied, colours and design requested. You are responsible for checking the content, layout, colour, event information and grammar. While every endeavour is made to avoid mistakes, we do not offer a professional proofreading service and checking the proofs is your responsibility. Once the proofs have been approved, we cannot take responsibility for any errors missed. Charges may apply for any reprints or reproductions. Similarly, once designs have been approved, charges might apply for further amendments to artwork.
Once you receive the proof, you should accept or reject it, in the documentation provided. Any amendments should be stated at this time.
If you would like a physical printed proof of wedding stationery, this can be arranged for a printing charge + postage. If you would like a proof of a textile item, please just order 1 from the website.
To minimise amendments and the need for reproofing, the information you supply for your wedding stationery must be your final draft with correct content including spellings, dates, timings and grammar. When your guest list and final details are confirmed, Splendid Swan can create your orders of service, place cards, seating plan, menus and table names. The information to complete these must be with us at least 5 weeks before your wedding date. It is your responsibility to ensure this information is with us by this time. Approval to print your orders of service, place cards, seating plan, menus and table names must be received no later than 3 weeks before your wedding date. This allows time for production and postage. Failure to adhere to this timeline risks you not receiving your products in time for your wedding andSplendid Swan will not be held responsible.
In the event that guests change their mind at the last minute, Splendid Swan will endeavour to help alter seating plans and place cards where possible, as long as there is sufficient time and it does not involve a reprint.
For personalised T-shirts, garments and textile items, please ensure all names are submitted with the correct spelling, and you have submitted the correct dates and locations of hen parties.
Products purchased through the website require 100% upfront payment at the time of purchase. For bespoke orders, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit upfront, and the remaining 50% is due before production / printing begins. All charges will be invoiced.
Website orders can be paid for using VISA, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Paypal. Bespoke orders can be paid by bank transfer or Paypal - please note invoices paid by Paypal will incur a 4% transaction fee, which should be covered by yourself if choosing this payment method. All costs and invoices are priced in pound sterling.
All items are handmade to order and take 7-14 days to create.
Orders are dispatched Monday - Friday. All final orders are sent by Royal Mail First Class Signed For post or courier and should be received within 48 hours of dispatch. We cannot take responsibility for any delays to orders after they have been dispatched. Goods must be checked on delivery for any damage and if any goods are not in a satisfactory condition you must notify us in writing within 5 working days.
Delivery is charged at £3.50 - £14.95 depending on the size of the package.
Please note if you are ordering invitations and ‘on the day’ wedding stationery, these will be sent separately, as items such as table plans and place cards are dispatched closer to your wedding, once the guest list has been confirmed.
Please ensure you provide a delivery address for bespoke orders at least 3 weeks before your wedding, or prior to dispatch.
Please view the latest prices here. VAT is not applicable to any of our prices. We reserve the right to cancel any discounts offered either directly or through discount codes. We reserve the right to make alterations to price as a result of a pricing error on our web-site or any marketing literature.
Cancellations and Return of Goods
Cancellation of orders may only be made within 24 hours of ordering. After that time, design will have started and may have been sent to print which will incur a cost.
If you are unhappy with your non-personalised purchase please return you order within 28 days of receipt for a refund. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it and in the original packaging. Once the returned item(s) has been received a refund will be processed.
Please note that postage and shipping costs are non-refundable.
If your order is damaged or faulty please notify us by email within 5 days of receipt.
Any damaged or faulty items must be returned to us to be checked before a refunded can be processed
Our policy lasts 28 days. If 28 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
Personalised / Bespoke Items
All personalised / bespoke items are non-refundable this includes bespoke wedding stationery, personalised hen party T shirts and gifts.
Splendid Swan will not cover the cost of reprinting and shipping orders due to any errors that you have approved during the proofing process, nor will a refund be issued.
We will do our best to correct and reprint any errors made on our part as quickly as possible and will dispatch any re-printed stationery quickly and efficiently.
