Planning a wedding at Achnagairn Castle? Your wedding invitations are the very first opportunity to capture the magic of this incredible Scottish wedding venue, and set the tone for the celebration that follows.
Achnagairn Castle Wedding Invitations
In this design, I have tried to capture the venue’s baronial style, carefully detailing its charming turrets and showcasing the topiary of the gardens in front. The stationery set includes an invitation and information card - the main invitation being a round shape with a hand-painted watercolour illustration on the front and ceremony details on the back.
The florals are inspired by the forestry and woodland that surround Achnagairn Castle, with decorative borders of autumnal flowers and greenery framing the cards.

A burgundy faux silk ribbon holds the set together, which is placed in a dusty rose envelope - more ribbon and envelope colours are available and you can also upgrade to add envelope liners or address printing to the envelopes. The web listing includes basic text amends and change of details - if you would like the florals or colours changing or a bespoke design, please contact me and I’d love to chat through ideas.

Why Choose Achnagairn Castle for Your Wedding?
Beautiful Photo Opportunities at Achnagairn Castle
The design of the castle provides lots of stunning photo opportunities for couples and their guests. The grounds offer variety to capture both documentary style, editorial portraits or more relaxed, natural moments in one place. The main structure, with its conical tower and distinctive bell-shaped turrets, creates a romantic and slightly whimsical silhouette for your wedding photos. While features such as the stone arch way, obelisk and staircases lined with stained glass windows provide focal points and backdrops, to help create a fairy-tale ambience without the need for excessive styling.

The internal rooms are impressive, in particular the vaulted ballroom, with its soaring arched ceiling and dramatic proportions. This is the perfect setting for your ceremony, dinner or dancing. Throughout the interior, you will find decorative wood panelling, grand staircases, fireplaces and original period features - historic elements are paired with more contemporary styling, giving the interiors a layered, curated feel rather than something overly formal or old-fashioned.

Achnagairn’s Castle’s Outdoor Space
Set within a 30-acre private estate, the outdoor space is a stunning combination of formal gardens, open lawns and woodland areas too. The formal gardens sit at the heart of the grounds with meandering pathways leading down to a beautiful stone archway and a central obelisk. Beyond this, the estate opens out into expansive lawns and there are lots of scenic viewpoints to admire the view and take pictures - from the moment guests arrive, they step into a truly special world, a setting that feels both grand and intimate at the same time.

Couples have the flexibility to design their own day with ceremonies available both indoors and outdoors and gardens that are perfect for drinks receptions, confetti moments and garden games to entertain the guests.
Stunning Accommodation at Achnagairn Castle
Luxury on-site accommodation is provided, with 24 individually designed bedrooms, each with their own unique name, character and decor, ranging from more traditional styles to playful, colourful interiors, and the bridal suite shown below.

For larger weddings, the accommodation extends beyond the main building into the estate’s ‘Mini Manors’ - a collection of nearby houses just a short walk from the castle, which provides an additional 30+ bedrooms, meaning the estate can accommodate well over 100 guests. This is ideal for destination-style weddings, where couples want to keep their closest family together but also have further accommodation for friends.
Exclusive Use Scottish Wedding Venue
When you book Achnagairn Castle, the whole estate becomes yours for the duration of your stay - no other weddings or hotel guests to factor in. Most couples hire the venue for two or three nights embracing a welcome dinner, a relaxed post-wedding brunch and fun activities to entertain guests in between. And why not? The wedding day goes so quickly, multi-day weddings are becoming increasingly popular to allow you to fully relax, connect with all the guests and have a more immersive, experiential celebration that feels like a mini-holiday.
