Dusty Blue French Wedding Theme
I was thrilled when Cherelle Blake recently contacted me to get involved in a styled shoot, she was planning at Ormesby Manor in Norfolk. Inspired by French destination weddings, her vision was to create a romantic, timeless and luxurious French-inspired shoot in the heart of Norfolk – and the end result was stunning!
I created a set of bespoke wedding invitations, with a custom venue illustration and watercolour wedding crest. The details included torn paper, custom envelope liners and faux silk ribbons with wax seals. Look closely and you’ll notice wax seals have an elegant swan imprint, which fits perfectly with the dusty blue French wedding theme.
With such a fabulous team, every detail of the shoot was planned to perfection. I instantly fell in love with the wedding cake made by Ruth from Mooreish Cakes. It had 5 tiers, lace detail, pretty white daisies and light blue macaroons. The table styling really came into its own with the tall blue candlesticks and white wildflowers from the Blissful Bride and Wilde and Vine.
I also created the table stationery including custom wedding menus with wax seals and beautiful blue ribbon, and some personalized place cards with the white swan wax seals and pretty blue bows. The wedding menus were anchored with dusty blue napkins on shaped white plates to create the perfect place settings.
What Colours complement Dusty Blue?
If you’re wondering what colours pair well with dusty blue… Mostly white with a pop of dusty blue looks fab. Or you could go for neutral shades such as beige, taupe and Champagne. Coastal Wedding Theme Ideas
A tone almost straight from the ocean, dusty blue is perfect for coastal weddings too.

I was delighted to work with H & C on their wedding stationery. I created a custom wedding invitation set with a watercolour venue illustration of Chatham Bars Inn in Massachusetts – one of the most beautiful coastal wedding venues in Cape Cod. The design also included a custom wedding logo with blue hydrangeas and printed envelopes for the RSVP cards.
H & C’s table décor looked absolutely stunning and was beautifully curated. I loved the blue and white striped seat pads, elegantly tied napkins and glass candle sticks. I was also in love with the textured white wedding cake and the dusty blue bridesmaids dresses!

Dusty Blue Custom Wedding Décor
E & K were married in Whistling Straights, and I was thrilled to create some custom wedding illustrations for them. This time, I created a custom crest and some floral emblems – in gorgeous dusty blue shades, that were then passed on to a local graphic design who put the invitations, menus and other items together.
The gorgeous detail shots and flat lays by their wedding photographer, Dabble Me This were spectacular! I love this invitation flat lay with all the florals and velvet ring box, and this detail shot of the invitation and wedding rings too.
