A Dusty Blue Love Story: Ormesby Manor Wedding Invitations for a Stunning Styled Shoot in Norfolk
Aside from creating stunning stationery for clients, I love taking part in styled shoots. I love being able to showcase my individual style, get truly creative, be inspired by the latest wedding trends and of course get to meet and work with some of the best wedding pros in the industry! Each styled shoot tells a story, and as a wedding stationer, I love being part of that narrative.
The Brief…
‘Bringing a Touch of French Romance to the Heart of Norfolk’.
I was delighted when Cherrelle Blake contacted me, with a mood board for her upcoming styled shoot at Ormesby Manor in Norfolk. I particularly loved her emotive, authentic storytelling style - it’s a refreshingly unique blend of fine art and documentary style photography. I loved the concept for the shoot - the white florals, the dusty blue accent colour and the general aesthetics was completely in keeping with my design style.

Ormesby Manor Wedding Invitations
I created some lovely bespoke wedding stationery for the styled shoot at Ormesby Manor in Norfolk. Including a watercolour venue illustration of the venue and a dusty blue wedding crest with blue hydrangeas, roses and wildflowers. The stationery suite included an invitation and details card with delicate torn edges, paired with a dusty blue envelope and liner printed with the venue illustration. The set was finished with soft faux silk ribbon and a white wax seal with an elegant swan.
The Blissful Bride took care of the decor and styling and it looked magnificent! For the table stationery, I created wedding menus with ribbon and wax seals and folded place cards with dusty blue bows. The tables were styled with white wildflowers, courtesy of Wild and Vine and tall blue candles.
A Stunning Styled Shoot at Ormesby Manor
I fell in love with the wedding dresses which were from Boutique of Dreams Bridal in Norwich. Showcasing two gorgeous styles, the full length gown had a v-neck plunging neckline, nipped in waist and elegant flared skirt with the prettiest floral applique fabric. There was also a short length wedding dress which would be ideal for evening celebrations or perhaps destination weddings in warmer climates. It had a modern fitted corset style top, with a short layered ruffle skirt and looked incredible on our model, Katie.
The dusty blue wedding cake was a 5-tier showpiece crafted by Mooreish Cakes, featuring pretty daisies, crips white lace and one tier had an acrylic fillable layer, filled with blue macaroons. The dessert table looked wonderful, as the wedding cake stood tall, framed by wildflower arrangements and dishes of blue macaroons.
Cherrelle and her incredible team of suppliers, maximised use of the venue for a styled shoot with lots of wonderful indoor and outdoor shots, plus a styled wedding table and an outside area set for a ceremony.

Ormesby Manor’s decor and interior styling is impressive, I love the bold wallpapers and hand-picked repurposed vintage furnishings. The charming venue boasts a traditional kitchen scullery and grand parlour, perfect for tea or sipping Champagne. If luxury wedding accommodation is your thing, take a peek at the manor house bedrooms, and there are also 3 Shepherd’s Huts and a beautiful annex lodge.
Ormesby Manor is a unique wedding venue, a grade 2 listed property that was originally a farmhouse and dates back to 1762. I love the 19th century Italianate circular tower and the traditional shutters framing the windows, which made for interesting painting as I was doing the venue illustration.
