I can incorporate florals and foliage from your invitations and if I have already painted illustrations such as a pet portrait, venue painting or scene from your wedding location, that can be utilised too - it’s much more cost-effective to repurpose elements I have already designed than designing from scratch. Postcard Wedding Thank You Cards

Postcard thank you cards are the most cost-effective option as they don’t require envelopes. The front can be printed with anything you like, including a floral design, watercolour illustration of your choice or a wedding photo. If you are short on time, I can also pre-print a message and guest addresses on the back of the postcard for your convenience.

Flat Wedding Thank You Cards

Gorgeous little notecards, flat thank you cards can be single or double sided. I can have them pre-printed with a generic message or choose to handwrite a special note to each guest yourself. These are supplied with ivory or coloured envelopes (upgrade applies for coloured envelopes on thank you cards).

Folded Wedding Thank You Cards

Folded thank you cards are ideal for couples who want extra space to write personalised messages to each guest, or prefer the look and feel of a traditional greetings card. They can be vertical or horizontal and are supplied with ivory or coloured envelopes (upgrade applies for coloured envelopes).

Illustrated Wedding Thank You Cards

By the time it comes to sending out your thank you cards, I may have already created some beautiful illustrations for you, so why not use these on your wedding thank you cards too? I could incorporate the venue illustration or wedding crest from your invitation set, or use a decorative border from your wedding signage.

Personalised Wedding Thank You Cards with a Wedding Photo

My clients love using wedding photos on their thank you cards, giving guests a sneak peek of the romantic moments captured by their photographer. This could be one large photo on the front, or a collage of wedding photos, and perhaps decorated with a few florals to match their stationery suite.

Printed Messages vs. Handwritten Notes

Whether you want to hand write special messages to your guests or have a general thank you message pre-printed will largely depend on your schedule and how many thank you cards you are sending out.

• Pre-Printed Messages - Craft a lovely thank you message and I can have it pre-printed on your thank you cards. This could be the same message, or a personalised one to each guest (please note: an additional charge applies for personalisation). Pre-printing messages saves time and not everyone has neat handwriting!
• Blank Thank You Cards - If you prefer traditional folded notecards or want that extra special, personal touch with plenty of space to handwrite your own note, a blank card may be the perfect choice for you. Or, you can have the best of both, with a hybrid of the two, featuring a pre-printed greeting at the top with space for a handwritten message underneath.

Wedding Thank You Card Etiquette

Penning personal, thoughtful cards to everyone who attended your big day or sent a gift might seem like a daunting task. To ensure your thank you cards properly express your gratitude there are some simple best practices to follow: name all gift givers (even if you’re only close to one of them), be specific where possible (this could be naming the gift or writing a note about how you plan to use it), be prompt (it’s best to send thank you cards 1-3 weeks after your wedding).

It can be helpful to segment your list into guests that gave you cash, guests that gave you gifts and guests that attended the wedding and didn’t give a gift, as it’s possible to have 3 different versions of the cards printed. For this I have a spreadsheet template, in which you will need to enter the guest names and messages.
