The Colony Hotel Wedding Invitations, Palm Beach

The Colony Hotel Wedding Invitations, Palm Beach

A playful palette, tropical details, and a whole lot of pink perfection.

When it comes to statement-making weddings, few places do it quite like Palm Beach, and few venues are as iconic as The Colony Hotel. So when Courtney got in touch after spotting my Palm Beach wedding invitations on Etsy, I knew we were a match made in tropical stationery heaven.

Courtney and Sean wanted a stationery suite that was as vibrant, joyful and special as their wedding venue. We brought the stationery to life through bespoke additions, personal illustrations and thoughtful styling. From playful monkeys to magpie motifs, no detail was too small, and the result was a suite (and celebration!) bursting with personality.

The Brief: Personalised, Playful & Palm Beach-Inspired

Courtney fell in love with my original Palm Beach Wedding Invitations - a design that already echoed the colour palette and tropical vibe of their plans for The Colony Hotel. As it was already on-point, we used it as a starting point and personalised it further to create something completely unique.

One of my favourite requests from the couple? Monkeys! Inspired by the quirky interiors and branding of the hotel, the cheeky motif was incorporated into the illustrated border of The Colony Hotel wedding invitations. The couple also added a meaningful touch, by creating their own custom wedding logo with a little help from a friend - two magpies, a nod to Sean’s English roots and a symbol of love and loyalty.

We kept the base colours of hot pink and pale pink (with tropical green and black accents) and wove those through the entire collection - from The Colony Hotel wedding invitations themselves to the couple’s day-of signage, to create a beautifully cohesive aesthetic.

The Colony Hotel Wedding Invitations

The palm beach-inspired invitation set was the perfect mix of elegance, luxury and fun, and featured:

  • Arch-shaped wedding invitations
  • A double-sided details card with a handy QR code on the back for digital RSVPs
  • Hot pink envelopes with white printed addresses and tropical striped envelope liners
  • A glossy black wax seal stamped with a tropical leaf, tied with a hot pink ribbon

Every piece of this suite felt considered, bold, and unapologetically stylish - just like The Colony Hotel itself.

Day Stationery Package: Statement Signs & Tablescapes

For the wedding day, I carried the arch shape from their Colony Hotel wedding invitations across to the signage and menus to create a unified look. The hot pink arched table plan was propped on a sleek acrylic stand with vibrant tropical flowers - a styling choice I absolutely adored when I saw the photos. They also had arch table names in the same pink, which were named after countries they had visited together. The place settings featured shaped menus, finished with pale pink ribbon and striking black wax seals - set against black napkins with transparent plates, these small but considered elements gave the tablescape a luxe, layered and polished look. For the ceremony, I designed a folded program featuring the couple’s signature tropical motifs and their sweet magpie emblem.

Colony Hotel Wedding Details: From Confetti to Florals

It’s always a joy to work with couples who have meticulous attention to detail, and Courtney and Sean went all in. They had custom confetti cones and napkins printed, among other details, with their wedding logo - which looked fab.

The florals were a beautiful balance of tropical foliage and romantic roses, while Courtney’s bouquet featured pretty pink peonies. Her bridal party looked incredible in shades of pink, perfectly complementing the overall look and feel. It was clear that every element, from paper goods to attire and flowers, had been thoughtfully designed and in keeping with The Colony Hotel’s luxurious aesthetic.
